Flower per Cento: when Flowers Become the Language of Emotion

DNNLY readers are invited to listen to a conversation through flowers with Flower Per Cento, where the fragile beauty of nature is infused with surreal breath, opening stories between reality and imagination.

I’m Kiet, currently living and working in Hanoi. During the day, I work as an Account Manager in marketing, but when I return to my own world, I’m the founder of Flower Per Cento – a floral art studio where I seek ways for flowers to not just stop at decorative beauty but become a medium for conversation, movement, and storytelling.

At Flower Per Cento, we believe that flowers are not just gifts from nature, but also a storytelling language – guiding emotions across the fragile boundary between reality and imagination.

Originating from a love for flowers and the desire to expand the boundaries of art, Flower Per Cento seeks to take flowers beyond their traditional decorative role. Here, flowers are combined with diverse materials and techniques to tell stories vividly through visual experiences.

“Flowers from between fantasy and reality”

With this tagline, Flower Per Cento is an artistic journey: preserving the fragile beauty of flowers in real life while breathing surreal life into them to evoke unprecedented stories.

As an artist florist, I find in flowers a richly evocative language, where natural beauty becomes material to open new visual stories. For me, flowers are not just for admiration, but also for listening, dialogue, and awakening emotions beyond their usual fragility.

My artistic direction is to bring flowers into contemporary art spaces – where they exist as a different form of storytelling, connecting audiences through intuition and emotion. Through arrangement, composition, and visual language, I want to redefine the experience with flowers: no longer limited to decoration, but becoming a new way of seeing nature, humanity, and the relationship between both.

In this journey, I hope to create artistic experiences where flowers become doors opening to imagination, both intimate and surreal, belonging to everyday life yet transcending it.

Flower Per Cento doesn’t just stop at arranging flowers as decorative elements, but aims to expand the boundaries between art and life, between reality and imagination. For me, every person or object carries infinite possibilities for transformation, leading to different outcomes and stories.

Similarly, whenever I look at a flower, I always ask myself: what if it were transformed in shape, color, or combined with other materials? This questioning is how Flower Per Cento evokes contemplation and opens new ways of seeing the world – where beauty can be both fragile and enduring, both intimate and surreal. Here, flowers become the bridge connecting that blurred boundary, allowing viewers to touch reality while stepping into the realm of imagination.

One of the memorable milestones in my journey was collaborating with Hills Spa & Beauty for their 10th anniversary. At this workshop, I guided customers to create and customize their own Christmas tree decorations. The moment of seeing each person create a unique tree, reflecting their personality and emotions, made me deeply feel the joy when flowers and art can connect people, creating personal and meaningful experiences.
